Step One: Put ads in your search engine to ruin search.
Step Two: Put AI in your search engine to ruin ads.
Step Three: Put ads in your AI to ruin AI.

It’s so relieving when you shrug off the need to be “somebody”… and start just being you.

Just live well and kindly in the world, and do the best you can.

Sorry, Jamison, I accidentally put this rant in the wrong place and broke up your 🎯 thread. I meant to put it at the end next to the Bulwark article which, as you can see, enraged me.

The Democrats have been so afraid of being labeled “socialists“ that they have failed to advocate for policies that would make life better for the vast majority of people, and have consequently lost that voter base, be at urban or rural, blue-collar or young professional.
December 3, 2025 at 9:00 PM
The Trump crisis has exposed the entire Democratic leadership as feckless, cowardly, and utterly captured and fearful of their own mega-donor base.

Listening to Green party leader Zack Polanski in the UK reminds me of what could have been: universal empathy and straightforward, unambiguous answers.

They were such hypocrites that you literally had to hold your nose to vote for them. The elite journalistic/academic/nonprofit/professional class have not had to struggle, well everyone at middle class and below have had to scrape for every penny.

You can see it in the net worth of congresspeople, in the spread between C-suite executives and the average worker, in the rising cost of post-secondary education.

Liberalism, writ large, failed to unambiguously support unions, fight monopolies, and prosecute white-collar and environmental crimes.
December 3, 2025 at 8:52 PM
Liberalism failed because it failed in its promise and its duty.

Our leaders promised to lift all boats with the tide, but they sold out for money and were captured by their oligarchical donors. They bought a ticket on the gravy train and sold us out.

Imagine, after coming home from a long day at work, pulling up a chair at the dinner table, and explain to your children why the president of the country where you have made your home, now says he doesn’t want them in the country.

The whole unitary executive thing is a recipe for see-saw policy every 4-8 years.

It “works“ for monarchies only because there’s continuity of ideology over generations.

Democracies require consensus. That’s why, in Canada, most of the best social legislation happened during minority governments.

We don’t need no language models!
We don’t need no thought control!
No hallucinations in the workplace,
AI leave us folks alone!

“affection for America”

That’s not a thing anymore.

“affection for America”

There is none of this left…anywhere.

This guy is such a fucking idiot.

The reason people don’t roast turkeys more often is because they’re big birds - with more meat than most families can easily eat.

We eat turkeys on holidays because that’s when we entertain big groups of families and friends.

Does he not have any of either?

So one billionaire begins his career by rating pictures of babes in his dorm, and another ends his career roasting folks at parties.

Cool.

Why are we giving them our money again?
November 24, 2025 at 8:33 PM
So much this! All the shoe and belt removal, unpacking at security, sitting for delays, no room to even bend over and untie shoelaces in cramped seats, not to mention even trying to stretch. Of course people want to be comfortable. Buy me a private jet or first class sleeping pod and I’ll dress up!

The real gift of AI slop is to make every human feel better about their writing.

I think everyone is waiting for a single, heroic reporter to put their career on the line to say that the emperor has no clothes.
November 18, 2025 at 3:32 PM
Where are the other reporters?

“How dare you speak to my colleague like that. I expect better of our President.”
