To your original point, because blame doesn't accomplish anything. We can either sit and blame or take action, like Senator Booker. The problem is that not enough people with platforms are speaking out.

Congress hasn't been doing much, no harm done; that's the point. He's providing a spark, showing how to stand up and speak out, not capitulate. He's breaking through echo chambers for those unaware of what's happening. It takes courage to resist (we need more resistance). He's accomplishing tons.

I think he's trying to break through the echo chamber and be another spark for people who need a positive example. Maybe that's just me though.

Gotta start somewhere. Given that they can't change the past, this is progress.
