Not sure why Apple Music, Apple Podcasts, and Apple Maps as Apps do not show up in the Google Play Store for GM. Is GM blocking these Apps or is Apple refusing to provide wanting CarPlay or nothing?

This is why Apple CarPlay Ultra is having a difficult time getting a foot hold in the Auto Industry as most have committed to Android Automotive as the operating system of choice.

Ford and VW are committed to Android Automotive as well. Apple CarPlay can run on top of Android Automotive but GM is locking it out. Ford and VW will still support Apple CarPlay.

GM's operating system was developed by Google and called Android Automotive. It's not to be confused with Android Auto which is like Apple Car Play. When Apple was working on an EV, Google was lining up car makers to use Android Automotive. In short, Google has taken over the automotive dashboard.
