I'm not doing any validation for these particular events because they aren't the events I've subscribed to. The errors are coming straight from the '@atproto/sync' Firehose class's `onError` hook. Presumably because it's validating all the events, even those I haven't subscribed to.

Not sure what you're referring to exactly, but here's intellisense for the app.bsky.actor.profile lexicon. If data was a valid profile record, avatar would be inflated to a BlobRef instance and ref to a CID instance at runtime. Idk how it would handle custom nested stuff. Presumably, it wouldn't 🤷‍♂️
