Looking back through vacation photos from ~15 years ago and I'm struck by how much better they are than phone photos of today. I really need to make a point of carrying a real camera on trips every time...

Pictographs were pretty wild too. Some were figures I've seen many times, but the ones closest to the bones where definitely unusual and rather odd...

Turns out it's a well preserved ankylosaur skeleton with pictographs right beside it! I found pictures of it in several field guides (with location redacted) after I started searching. Really wild to come across it via a non-geologist! (It's way up a wash and hard to find...)
