I feel like I have a good grasp on what they are already. Will I learn about Biden's austerity policies if I read more, you think?

Were austerity measures enacted during that eulogy? Because if not, I'm not sure what relevance it has to the point?

So we've moved on from the "austerity measures" point then?

Maybe the one who's ignoring reality is the guy posting a video from 1995 in response to a post talking about the last 2 decades

I'm curious what your suggestions are for making it "easier" to live in said places. And that's only one part of the equation - it has to be desirable too, ie. at the very least offer economic opportunity.

Someone told Trump it's a Latin word so he's deporting it next year

"if you think what's being built is ugly you're a reactionary and should go fuck yourself" uhhh true and based?

The "benevolent institutions" of the 20th century? I'm sorry????

Fucking stop with the both sides bullshit

Not the point I was responding to, but okay bud

This is a such a stupid, knee jerk reaction. RFK holds the highest public health related position in the country. He's got all the oxygen he'll ever need whether people interview him or not.

Pretty sure Matt was being tongue-in-cheek here!

Why do people want things I don't? Are they stupid?

I think this will have a very marginal impact at most. Rent in California is high because there are too few homes for the amount of people who want to live here, not because AI is magically making prices higher.

I’m sorry but I think folks can often be too harsh with Sarah. 95 Ds voted YES bc of leadership, why single her out so often?

She got elected statewide in Delaware. Her path is challenging and this time is terrifying. I think the disagreements w/ her can be less personal. I care about her safety.

Is that like, a bad thing? Is getting into "actual fights" somehow virtuous?

/3 We can also call out who has encouraged and normalized political violence and made it government policy. We can note the irony of it in many cases. But celebrating it — yelling “hooray” — is like celebrating going to war. People will die and it won’t be fun.
