US treasury bonds are now trading at higher yields than Greek treasury bonds. In other words: the bond markets put greater faith in the Greek government’s ability to continue to finance its debt than in the US government’s ability to do so. NB. Greece’s debt/gdp ratio is 160%…
30-year Treasury yields climbed to 4.95%, posting their largest weekly gain since 1982, according to Reuters.
