I really hated how the revamped BSG ended. They kept telling people, in every episode, that the Cylons had a plan - but it became obvious in the last season that no, they didn't have a plan. The writers were just winging it, and an exciting show just ended up crashing to Earth.

And the older I get, the less sure I am it really is. Sure, it's funny to see people or things you don't like get ripped... but sooner or later, the tables turn, and it's less funny, even hurtful. And certain types of people are just really into this, and I wonder about what it does to them.

Since some people (you know who) believe that women have become 'impossible' (since the problem is women and not their own lack of emotional maturity), then it only follows in their heads that this is necessary.

I don't doubt in ten-twenty years' time, someone will argue this is an emotional health necessity. Perhaps they'll want taxpayers to pay for it. Or maybe they'll argue that they should be allowed to go out with their bot into public places. Or that sending them to jail w/o the bot is cruel.

I don't mean to sound melancholy. But earlier I read a very long social media post written by a friend, detailing how hard their life has been, detailing abuse and hardship and toxic relationships. It was sad to read and I felt my heart go out to it.
