Retired chem teacher. Unlike my colleagues, I had published research, 6 years of grad school, and work as a lab TA. After 25 years of daily hands-on instruction I was kicked out of my lab bc students increasingly declined the formative value of benchwork practice prior to graded assessment. Idiots.
