Hello darkness my old friend…. I’ve come to split squat once again…. This is your friendly reminder to exercise your posterior chain if you sit all day long. You’ll thank me when you’re old. Or even in a month when your lower back pain disappears.

Shop update. Better photo of what I was talking about earlier. Router makes pretty quick work of these and having the long grain join with extra surface area makes it a much stronger joint.

Shop update :) Had to join end grain of the panels which I could have done by ripping and long grain joining offset boards. Instead I’m cutting rabbets for greater glue surface over select brackets. Should be a strong bond and it’ll have a little mechanical support

Shop update, shelves are up and I found a clever hack using a stir stick as a hole template for the brackets. :) Now time to let this laminated shelf set. It’s joined with dowels and glue.

Also, adding this to my vac setup worked like a charm!

Shop update > Moldly drywall replaced, vapour barrier fixed, acoustiseal added, and I re tapped and fixed the mudding. Very excited to start making cool stuff in this new space. Been a busy off hours week. Hope to fix corners and have it primed this weekend.

Dealing with grain direction is the trickiest part so far.
