A7: The products are great, but they won't realize their potential if you keep disincenting people from using them. Stop nickel and diming us to death and give us another "everything SKU". Price it accordingly, but make it available. SKU chasing is killing us . #CollabTalk

A6: The platform is the strength. Keep investing in infrastructure. Keep improving the integration points - nobody cares about your org structure - they do care that the products work well together. #CollabTalk

A5: What we're calling AI really strikes me as a glorified search engine that can understand context and generate content. It really helps take some of the drudgery out of productivity. I think that as the hype gives way to realism, we'll see that more clearly #CollabTalk

A4: Well, given that the only Copilot I have access to is the one in Edge, I use it to help create abstracts, and to generate concept art - but that's about it so far. #CollabTalk

A3: Pretty much steady as she goes for internal collaboration. There can still be a lot of improvement to external collaboration - that's where the focus should really be. Teams recap for those lucky few that have it means a lot less time watching videos. #CollabTalk

A2: Better Teams tenant switching means that I miss fewer notifications, and get put into the right tenant for meetings. Fabric puts the entire analysis toolkit into everyone's hands. CoPilot reduces the barrier to entry of everything #CollabTalk

A1: Top 3 impactful things from Microsoft in 2023 are pretty clearly #1 - CoPilots (all of them) - that seems kind of obvious. #2 is clearly #MicrosoftFabric - because without data, there is no AI, and finally the new #MicrosoftTeams is a massive improvement. #CollabTalk

A7: The eternal answer to the Microsoft question. Focus more on integration between products. We bought into your technology stack. We don't care about your org structure. Work. Together. Better. #CollabTalk

A6: Helping users see the value is usually the biggest challenge #CollabTalk

A5: I think that once fully realized, Copilots have the potential to reduce our dependence on User Interface to achieve tasks. Ideally we spend less time figuring out how to do things, and more time doing them. #CollabTalk

A4: I really like Loop - using it more and more #CollabTalk https://twitter.com/buckleyplanet/status/1707072094323069104

A4: The obvious answer is Teams, but that's an easy out. Teams is really a wrapper on more transformative tech. As dumb as it sounds, I think that OneDrive may have actually had the greatest impact for us. #CollabTalk

A3: So true - it's the people telling you what's wrong that truly care about what you are doing #CollabTalk https://twitter.com/buildbod/status/1707069011769323771

A3: These technologies have quite simply allowed us to break free from the shackles of physical location and collaborate with a far wider talent pool worldwide. It is primarily positive, but you have to work harder to maintain the social aspect of the workplace now. #CollabTalk
December 6, 2024 at 12:29 PM
A2: It's around the art of the possible and the nature of the product. Within a workplace, organizational efficiency is key. One important measure is the sharing of information between people. The more, the better. #CollabTalk
December 6, 2024 at 12:29 PM
A1: Technology can help primarily on the input side by reducing the effort or energy required to produce the output. It can also magnify the output for a given amount of input. It can also make entirely new outputs possible. #Collabtalk
December 6, 2024 at 12:29 PM
A1: Productivity is essentially Output-Input. Outputs can be squishy to measure and depends on the type of output. Inputs are simpler - the amount of effort and time required to produce the output #CollabTalk
