Hold on, YORKSHIRE is the mother language designed to worship the old gods. We have becks, fells, more thwaites than you can shake a stick at, and we're all as fit as lops. Some of us even have 2% viking DNA (+ or - 2%)!! 🤣

Pupils from Ysgol Llandrillo yn Rhos, together with the 'Friends of Rhos on Sea' and local residents, have been carrying out regular beach litter picks. Over the past year, they have collected more than 100kg of rubbish, helping protect the coastline 💚🚮

Anyone familiar with Chelmsford will recognise this largely unchanged view by the immensely talented Malcolm Root (reproduced here from his book "Pageant of Transport"). The Harwich boat train 'Naworth Castle' passes through Chelmsford Station.

Tonight, the Harvest Moon rises: the full moon closest to the autumn equinox. 🌕

October’s full moon is also named the Hunter’s Moon, once marking a time to gather food for winter.

It will be the first of three supermoons this year, glowing bigger & brighter.

So true. I tend to avoid mirrors now (so hate trips to the barber). Having said that I seem to be going through a mid-life crisis just now which means I'm heading for a life-span of 140 and counting. 🤣

Without doubt the best of Austria's little trains (on a fine day). The Schafbergbahn runs almost 6 km from St Wolfgang up the Schafberg, a rise of 1190 metres in 35 minutes. (Picture from 2023).
