@juliemason.bsky.social Thing is, Julie, as a gay man now 71 yo, married 11 years, and relationship 26 years, under Republicans, especially Trump, my husband and I are not now safe. In that, we feel kinship to all women and any others under Trump cultural threat. So, tied polls are nerve-racking.

I don’t hear people bringing this up. But does anybody remember the first Obama debate against Romney? Obama sank fast. I was at friends and you would’ve thought we were at a wake. We went home and cried ourselves to sleep. Thankfully, Obama got the submarine to float again.

I heard the Trump comments on Hogan. More like an ersatz endorsement. Were the words “I endorse” uttered? Trump’s answer was more of a neighborly wave.
