ITV having a Head of Scripted Comedy feels like one of those jobs where somebody has been in post for years and they have to try and keep really quiet so nobody notices they don’t actually make any scripted comedy and realises they can fire them.

If you’ve never seen it there is a run of Guy Montgomery’s show starting tonight on BBCThree of all places and it’s one of the silliest (complimentary), most fun shows out there at the moment and exactly what we all need in the current climate.

This does a nice thing of blending archive with the modern gig. I love it as you see how Carole was originally such a reluctant performer and quite reserved despite being brilliant and then you see the difference now where she is just loving every second of it and just owns the stage.
