I'm into my two awesome kids, public service, clean transportation, climate & energy, regenerative agriculture, anti-racism, YIMBY & New Urbanism, good food, art, and other lovely things like this. Allergic to bots and scammers. Unlikely 2 respond to DMs.
Dix Park Trolls! What a delightful experience! Six or seven thumbs up! Be sure to search for the "Thomas Dambo" map of Raleigh Trolls. (Link in first comment.)

#NoKings rally in tiny #PittsboroNC got me and 1,200 others #FiredUp yesterday! So encouraging to gather with so many neighbors who care deeply about the Constitution, liberty, rule-of-law, and Due Process. The Resistance is strong. We can't let the fascists get us down!

250 years ago today, the American Revolution began.

Today, in tiny Pittsboro North Carolina, about 250 people gathered to rally for freedom, democracy, separation of powers, due process of law, and to say NO KINGS.

Thank you for the succinct reminder, @johnthebad.bsky.social ! Indeed, it's so true that we are much more likely to succeed in building strong local community connections than to become billionaires.

If we accept that non-citizens have no right to due-process, we are inherently accepting that CITIZENS have no right to due-process. Because all the bad guys need do is claim that you are not a citizen; without due process you have no chance to prove your ARE a citizen.

How does it feel
To treat me like you do?
When you've laid your hands upon me
And told me who you are?

How did I miss this amazing "driveway moment" by Kai Ryssdaal a month ago?

P.S.
This guy served in the Navy and in U.S. State Dept Foreign Service, in Canada and China. No wonder I love his reporting so much!

Prediction: This time, the "First They Came" poem begins with the "illegal aliens" and "trans" people.

This makes sense. Bird flu is probably on the loose. I think it's a very reasonable line of logic, explaining why 45 issued a health-alert gag order. Thanks to @sharonastyk.bsky.social for the opinion, and @drjenplatt.bsky.social for the heads up.
