Game 56 finished and it’s Sir Noggin on the PC! An 8 bit style platformer with some colourful graphics and a huge sword! Only takes a couple of hours to beat but has some challenges too.
November 13, 2025 at 11:20 PM
Game 55 finished and it’s The Room Two on PC. The sequel to The Room that I talked about a couple of months ago. More puzzles and the right length at 2-3 hours to beat.

The beginning of the end. The sequel to the first game of last year’s 12 RPG Challenge will be the last game of this year’s challenge!
November 8, 2025 at 8:02 PM
Game 54 finished and it’s Coffee Talk: Episode 2 on the PC! If you enjoyed the first one it’s more of the same with some new ingredients, new characters and more branching storylines!

Game 53 beaten and it’s Alex Kidd in Shinobi World on the Master System! The game is full of charm and colourful levels, it’s not too long but until you learn the boss patterns and where to find/access chests it can be hard to beat. Definitely worth persevering on!

Spotted in Waterstones, my wallet is glad I don’t have a record player 😅

Game 52 finished and it's .hack//Mutation on the PS2! The second in the quadrilogy that I started last year! It's more of the same and I definitely recommend playing via an emulator instead of real hardware due to being able to save state in dungeons but depsite the repetition I had fun with it!

Game 51 beaten and it’s Simpson’s Hit & Run on the Xbox! An odd one, the license is lovingly used but the handling is a pain and there are some missions which screams we don’t want you beating this in a rental. It was hard to not throw the controller at the TV during those!

I miss the days of importing saves.
October 19, 2025 at 8:39 PM
Game 50 finished and it’s Devwill Too Prologue on the Mega Drive. A homebrew platformer that’s surprisingly solid in terms of controls. You collect some upgrades but if you’re good at this genre you can get it beaten in half an hour.
October 16, 2025 at 9:52 PM
Game 49 beaten and it’s Eternal Darkness: Sanity’s Requiem for the GameCube! A really enjoyable game but the camera/combat can be annoying at times. The different characters/time periods give it a sort of Timesplitters feel but with third person combat and magic.
October 16, 2025 at 8:03 PM
Game 48 finished and it’s Blue Dragon on the 360! Another amazing RPG by Mistwalker!!! Lost Odyssey is still their Magnum Opus but the designs by Akira Toriyama and the different art style give this a more Dragon Quest aesthetic compared to the Final Fantasy of Lost Odyssey.

Sorry for the delay but here’s my test!
October 7, 2025 at 7:53 PM
Now that we’re in to October it’s finally time to give this one a try!

Game 47 finished and it’s The Room on the PC. A locked box puzzle game which only takes a couple of hours. The first in a quadology but if you’re into puzzle games then this was fun!

Game 46 finished and it’s Night Trap on the CD32X! I’ve played it through multiple times but finally saved Kelly from all the vampires. The video stream changing technology is pretty impressive for the time and sets it apart from other FMV games.
September 29, 2025 at 9:18 PM
Game 45 beaten and it’s Sonic Superstars on the PC. Love the visual design and animation. The emerald powers are interesting but the levels aren’t enjoyable. No lives means there’s no refinement in their design and turn into constant death traps. The later bosses go on too long as well!
September 25, 2025 at 6:24 PM
Game 44 finished and it’s Killzone 2 on the PS3! It sure is a console FPS 😂 it’s a very well made game with gorgeous visuals, audio and cinematography but I’m glad I played on easy. I can see why it was so insanely popular on release but there were some really meat grinder moments!
September 21, 2025 at 10:08 PM
Game 43 beaten and it’s Sylvan Tale on the GameGear! A Japanese exclusive but with a fan translation. More like a Zelda but has brilliant art and music. Can be obtuse at times with how to proceed but a must play for GG owners!
September 20, 2025 at 8:06 PM
Finally giving this a try and the cutscenes are awesome!
September 16, 2025 at 8:48 AM
Game 42 beaten and it’s Mother’s Hub on the PC. A game inspired by Doom 3 and System Shock 2. Can be completed in a couple of hours but has an insane amount of audio logs for that time. An interesting story and multiple endings but I’ve blanked the screenshot so to avoid spoilers.
September 15, 2025 at 10:21 PM
Game 41 finished (including secret boss) and it is Shinobi: Art of Vengeance on the PC! A fantastic game from the devs of Streets of Rage 4. Really enjoyed the combat and the art is gorgeous. With the Metroidvania elements it’s a must play!
September 13, 2025 at 4:38 PM
Let’s give this a try.
September 1, 2025 at 5:08 PM
Time for another multi disker
August 31, 2025 at 9:22 PM
Game 40 finished and it’s Chip N Dale Rescue Rangers on the NES! Never played this one before but it’s fun once you get over the initial hurdle of trying to rush through the level instead of taking your time. The final level goes to Mega Man levels of difficulty though!
