By default, Cincinnati is much more geared towards "elevated" bar food, sandwiches with a messy amount of sauce, and things with a lot of cheese on them.

As someone who browses as my main means of restaurant discovery, I imagine this is why I've had such a hard time finding the kind of places I typically eat at upon moving to Cincinnati ~4 years ago. I probably "fit" the algorithm a lot more in past cities like SF, Seattle, Chicago, Portland.

I hate that this is true but a way I've found to make shopping easier is to visit a brand I like then just go browse instagram for 15 minutes where a creepy advertising algorithm knows my preferences way too good and will just surface the things I actually wanted to see on the site I was just at.
