SILENT NIGHT was ok. Definitely lesser John Woo. I think I understand why he chose to work with the material, given his penchant for visual storytelling and flair. And Joel Kinnaman was really up for the task of the silent protagonist. But the film could have used a stronger “partner” character.

Yeah, it’s as if the screenwriter took his cues from Christian faith-based scripts. Just awful, 2x4 to the side of the head platitudes.
