The Largo di Torre Argentina is an archeological site in the center of Rome that includes four Roman temples, and was the site where Julius Caesar was assassinated in 44 BC. Today it houses a volunteer-run shelter for homeless cats.

The battleship USS Massachusetts (BB-59) rests at her permanent mooring in Battleship Cove on the Taunton River in Fall River MA, in front of the Charles M Braga Memorial Bridge. Commissioned in May 1942, she served in both the Atlantic and Pacific theaters in World War II, earning 11 Battle Stars. Incredibly, she never suffered a combat fatality. "Big Mamie" was decommissioned in March 1947, and later, with the help of public donations, made into a floating museum ship in 1965.
