Of course, I was doing nothing of the sort!

It's working, guys, it's working! Retweeted by me on X (and then cancelling the retweet) to simply to test how obsessive Campbell is. Before 9am in the morning, at a time when most parents are attending to their kids, he is obsessively trawling our tweets. Sad.

No conclusive evidence to back up what you say.

I first wrote about the need for traffic reduction in the 1990s, the same decade I authored published material cautioning against policies which directed more traffic onto 'main' roads. So please don't accuse me of ignoring traffic reduction.
January 22, 2025 at 5:10 PM
It is perfectly possible me to campaign for traffic reduction and oppose LTNs.
January 22, 2025 at 5:07 PM
But LTNs relocate traffic. Ineffective and unfair. They have little to do with overall traffic reduction.
January 22, 2025 at 4:00 PM
Of course, Campbell has once again, cynically, has taken words out of context. He knows full well my view is you can have traffic reduction without LTNs: johnstewartliveblog.wordpress.com/2023/05/16/s...
Sketching out transport solutions for London, minus LTNS
Few would disagree that London’s traffic problems need sorting. Congestion is choking business. Levels of noise and air pollution are too high. The roads are still too dangerous. Many Londoners wou…

Road User Charging may be inevitable but can it ever be fair?
With increasingly congested roads and with the Government set to lose billions from fuel duty as electric cars come in, some form of road pricing looks inevitable. The question is: can it ever…

I'm only here to keep an eye on you guys.

No, wrong again. We don't want to engage on Bluesky. We see no point in doing so. We don't regard X as an echo chamber. We very much see Bluesky as an echo chamber.

I know of this study, Rich. I think it came out in 2022. I agree with the quote from it. To change it is a big task. I think it starts with planning policy & where you site developments. It then means building up a coherent public transport network in every town & city, accessible & affordable.

You get so many things wrong. Keep digging!
December 29, 2024 at 11:14 AM
You are either playing games or are out-of-your depth. Goodbye.
December 29, 2024 at 10:30 AM
No, it was not a deflection. I was respondin directly to his assertions.
December 29, 2024 at 9:55 AM
What I said was I work on the assumption that traffic levels are too highht. I have been writing about the need for traffic reduction for over 30 years.
December 29, 2024 at 9:54 AM
Several days ago I asked you to back up these assertions. I have heard nothing so I think I can assume you can't produce the evidence. In which case, can you remove the tweet.
December 29, 2024 at 8:38 AM
Of course Paul, you are always right. Silly me, I forgot that God-given fact.

It won't stop me and the many, many others who have, to put it mildly, real problems with you calling your behaviour out.
December 28, 2024 at 8:52 AM
You are talking about Paul Campbell, I assume Neil. Couldn't have put it better myself.
December 28, 2024 at 8:20 AM
The original tweet was about the behaviour of Paul Campbell which, typically, the pro-LTNs have turned around to attack Ediz and myself. It is how so many of you have operated on X over the years and a key reason why a half-decent debate on LTNs never got going.
December 28, 2024 at 7:54 AM
What @ediz1975.bsky.social says about air pollution killing children is consistent with the science. The worse the air pollution, the more impact it can have. Where LTNs result in additional traffic & air pollution on other roads, the risk of it impacting children who live on & use them increases.
December 28, 2024 at 6:39 AM
Few opposed to LTNs post on here or have a Bluesky account. We felt that after the exodus of so many pro-LTNs and cyclists, the LTN debate on X became much less toxic. And now Campbell is re-introducing this toxicity, but on Bskyb. Suspect it will lead to (private) discussions on how to tackle him.
December 27, 2024 at 12:57 PM
Rich, this is not primarily about Campbell's abusive language. As I tried to point out in my original tweet, it is about how he taking words and tweets from X out of the original context and posting them on here, thus giving a distorted picture of what was said. That's what hard to take.
December 27, 2024 at 12:35 PM
I'll be sharing nothing on BlueSky. My sole purpose of being on here is to check on the likes of you in order to counter the falsehoods you tweet.
