most of the points of view I get are extreme. But I get them across the spectrum at different times. You might recall paying me $100 some years ago. 2016 to be exact. The reason for that is because I was listening to the right and understanding what was coming. Unlike everyone else that I knew.

yes, I get opinions from left and right and center. I follow extremist on both side of the spectrum and in the middle. The algorithm tends to go weighted one way or another depending. If it seems like I'm getting too much right stuff I will look at and follow more lefties.

seems to me that folks who are more at risk should be the ones paying the most attention. 1 platform or 2 to watch the baddies. Maybe this platform here to continue building rapport and community with those who support you. Unfortunately the world we are in requires that we pay close attention.

I follow everyone on every platform & never say anything. I use FB assist in raising money for friends who broke their arm or are dying of cancer. It works pretty well - when one friend went down on a motorcycle accident and had no money or healthcare, we, his friends raised 17 K for him in 3 days.

Yes, you need to read Pravda to understand what they're saying. Just like you need to read NYT to understand what they're saying (& why.) To get a chuckle from a former Soviet Block citizen tell them you get your information (& believe it) from the NYT or WaPo. Much better quality lies than Pravda.

i'm sure there are a lot of bots. I'm not yet aware of how the bots will invade this platform. But they will.

As an educator, especially one who deals in the categories of politics and economics, I should think you would be interested in monitoring and genuinely trying to understand those you disagree with.

I don't debate with anybody on those platforms (maybe once every two years a so when I simply can't stand it) I just listen. I listen to all of them. If you really understand what they're all saying without listening to what they're saying then I suppose you're psychic.

if you dig up a copy, please send me a PDF or better, send the copy itself. I am archiving all things Cacophony. The stuff will go (digitized for free access to everyone) to the Internet Archives and at some point the physical archive will go to one of the couple of museum & libraries interested.
