I've seen this change in public opinion in my lifetime. I'm pretty sure public opinion on trans people will follow this same arc, and one day everyone will wonder how we allowed ourselves to treat trans people so abominably.

I don't know about you, but I wouldn't bet on it. And I wouldn't expect people to rally around a bunch of pearl clutchers when the midterms roll around. If the party establishment is hoping to fire up the base, it's picked a lousy strategy in my opinion. 4/End
