The appeal of SD for me is the clean presentation, simplicity, consistent and unified mechanics, and ease of homebrewing. I fell like I can easily create a new ancestry or even a class in SD, something I'd never feel comfortable attempting in another OSR/retroclone system.

I've run a bunch of one-shots with DH, and can confirm that the lack of formal initiative is one of the game's best features. Combat flows much more naturally and plays faster. Makes fights feel more cinematic.
