I mean idk if it deserves to be seen on the biggest screen but I would suggest to definitely catch it in theatres, with 3.5 hours, it needs a built in intermission

Releases like these are seen by awards bodies through screeners/screenings they get access to and/or through film festival premieres

I’m one of the people who watched it early on and I genuinely liked it

Many think this year is weak (and I agree) Regardless, it hasn’t happened yet and we can still look back fondly at previous winners like Moonlight, Parasite, and EEAAO when the Oscars do get it right. Personally rooting for The Brutalist which has a path to win, and I genuinely liked it
