Anne Lamott's quote on writing your story regardless of the effect on other ppl seems iffy. Ppl can change, and causing them pain won't make anything better. I feel mostly struck silent about my life. I shred my journals. It's why I am trying to paint. Something true minus the story.

The Mountain Waters National Scenic Highway in North Carolina is a spectacular trip. In the Fall it is even better than that. All along the winding mountain road are beautifully colored trees and foliage. The drive is frequently punctuated with fantastic water scenes such as this one.

Driving along the Mountain Waters National Scenic Highway in North Carolina one comes to a beautiful little town called Highlands. The average elevation within town limits is 4,118 feet, hence its name. This is Harris Lake, which is a reservoir, on the outskirts of town. pixels.com/featured/har...
