I am grateful to the Gov for signing this legislation and to MOA Gabriella A. Romero and Sen Patricia A. Fahy for shepherding it through the process. History remains one of our greatest educators, and it is both right and just that the NYS Holocaust Memorial will be located in the Capital City.

Joseph served in the U.S. Army as a Medical Specialist, caring for Soldiers from the Korean War, and went on to build a life rooted in family and community as a small business owner.

Their legacies live on through their families, friends, and all who continue to honor their memory.

Frank served in the United States Army Air Corps during WWII as a Remote Control Turret Mechanic and received both the American Campaign Medal and the World War II Victory Medal. After returning home, he spent decades serving his community in Green Island.

I as well as others stand with the Ukrainian community and remain concerned about the Putin actions being taken each and every day. We need peace and the ability for the Ukrainians to enjoy their land and independence.

Famine was widespread and in the words of a son of a Holodomor survivor arguably one of the worst ways to die.
