Moving on to another great book. So many great recommendations in the book review sections of newspapers and online publications. I just keep track of all this in Storygraph. Yes, I don't even bother with those TV book clubs.

Robert Crais is known for the Movie Hostage. After reading this book, I would say that I enjoyed it. Memorable characters like Joe Pike who seems like an assassin who was trained in the army along with the Elvis Cole who isn't afraid to mix it up against the bad guys with some martial arts.

I never work on Martin Luther King day and I'm not sorry that I missed the parade today because it's on one of the Networks. I am still reading Parting the Waters so I respect Martin Luther King Jr. He was a genius and a hero to me and this nation.

I saw these two in a movie theater commercial trying to be funny by giving reasons why people shouldn't see the movie. How about telling the truth: the other 6 movies were horrible and this one will be even worse if that is possible.

Also wondering where Trump derives the legal authority to impose tariffs on US allies because one of them is not willing to let the US steal its territory? Supreme Court is about to rule on tariffs. Will they sanction the use of tariffs as tools of territorial aggression?
Apparently the “survival of our planet” rests on whether Trump can annex a frostbitten island with 57,000 inhabitants that has been part of Denmark for hundreds of years.
Trump says he'll impose a 10% tariff (rising to 25% in June) on Denmark, Norway, Sweden, France, Germany, the UK, the Netherlands and Finland, because they've sent people to Greenland, until the US can buy Greenland.

It seems important to say that in this country, free speech has been challenged for decades but the garbage that is coming out of news stations like Fox news is beyond belief. Maybe they don't like women who have a mind of their own or anyone else for that matter.

Been thinking about looking out at swerve combat for bare knuckles fighting and mixed martial arts on Roku. I have thought about taking an interest in NASCAR and Soccer but the President likes them so no on that as well as the Olympics. Maybe I will watch Soccer when the Olympics are over with.

My night reading includes this book. Seems good although I'm not a Joseph Wambaugh fan. Maybe I will try him again. Elvis Cole seems like he has a wry sense of humor. I happen to like John Corey's sense of humor better in Nelson Demille novels although my wife gets mad when I use his jokes.

Avengers Doomsday. Really. It's no wonder that we ignore great books that can be a movie. Hey, I enjoyed the Avengers as much as anyone else but I was done after the last one. I don't even subscribe to Disney. Hope you enjoy it.

I see all these previews of the NFL playoffs while I'm watching Hockey & Boxing. I don't miss it. Maybe I can think about the days of Joe Montana and John Brodie with my father. It doesn't happen that much. Back then, we didn't mix politics with sports like Football.

I have been reading this book. James Rollins at his best in 2007 with a great story about the potential of a pandemic. There is a lot of historical reference as well. And you have action and suspense with the Sigma team.
