Working-class intellectual, with a strong background in socialism. Was off all social media, until Nazis tried to stifle criticism of their messiah. Already getting tired of the echo chamber BS & will delete this account eventually.

People who run good campaigns win.

They don't blame the voters for rejecting them.

They don't run campaigns based on what the opponent will do, they have platforms that inspire voters.

I'm not sure if this is revisionism or wish fulfillment.

I wish they were better candidates too.

Forget a read. The story of Victorian Redcoats, lords and ladies fleeing from Kabul, only to get trapped in the same mountain pass those tribes have been using to slaughter enemies for millennia....

why has that never been made into a movie?

As the world watches Putin attempting inroads with Afghanistan, it makes you really wonder if he's studied the history of colonial conquest in the region.

Literally every superpower has regretted adventuring there throughout history.

The story of Britain's abject humiliation is a damn good read.

That's just how capitalism works. It's not a plot against farmers, but anyone who owns land.

That's why we have booms and busts, that's why constant inflation.

Fractional reserve banking is a license to print money until it's worthless.

"Norton, 88, has repeatedly said she will seek reelection next year"

She's so out of touch that she honestly sees no reason why anyone thinks she should retire.

No chance she wins the primary.

Most places, that would make runoff more fun.

Not in DC though.

Not only will he face no legal consequences, he doesn't even have to return the money.

Even in the third world, corruption is never this publicly sanctioned.

The people would riot.

It's not that the public fails to grasp the gravity of the situation.

The issue is that Dems have no strategy. Most of them just voted to honor C. Kirk. The excuses they gave were contemptible.

The message it sent was another demonstration of weakness and failed leadership.

I've run across a stunning number of actual words that are not in the Big Tech lexicon. (Texicon?)

Sure, you can add them one at a time, to your own personal device or account. Although it seems like a lot of effort replicated unnecessary.

I hope the SCOTUS understands that established dictators have no need for courts.

If they allow Trump to overthrow the electoral process, the riot won't be at the capital building in January of 2029.

The murderous mob will be heading for the courthouse.

And there won't be anything in their way.

Israel was impoverished for over a decade before it was in any position to be an ally.

There was no military support, because it was not necessary to run the Palestinians off their land.

They had already suffered generations of war and colonialism.

And still don't have a sovereign state.
johnnyflapjack.bsky.social
That's fair.

I'm also aware of the history. The reason UK & US backed Zionists in the Nakkba was because they wouldn't take the Jewish refugees.

They couldn't afford to, because of the civil unrest that would ensue.

Entirely due to antisemitism.

The truth doesn't make anyone look heroic.
johnnyflapjack.bsky.social
Are you sure that means anything?

The logic seems strained.

In the US of A, most Zionists are goyim Evangelicals.

They support what's happening, and the only reason it CAN happen is with their blessing.

Zionism is quite literally an article of their faith.
johnnyflapjack.bsky.social
Zionism isn't the problem.

All ethnonationalism is sickness.

It invariably leads to apartheid, dehumanization and genocide.
johnnyflapjack.bsky.social
Zionism is barely 140 years old.

The Jewish people have been around a bit longer than that.

(granted, Zionists have been shaping the community's identity for the last 80)

But the fact that not all Jews are Zionists, weakens your point.

Jewish academics were the first to warn us about it.

In particular, the figure that 15% of casualties come from friendly fire, is a direct indictment of their training.

That's inexcusable.

Her willingness to break with party leadership has shown us something about the notorious MTG: she cares about the country, more than her seat.

I'll never like the woman or agree with her politics.

But I am beginning to respect her.

More than many Dems.

The Democratic party doesn't have any money. They get their money from wall street.

Wall Street is happy with the two-party system. why would they give any money to a third party?

We get it, you don't like progress.

Fortunately there isn't anything you can do to stop it.

But then, the price of meat will go down right? Because livestock farmers will have plenty of cheap feed!

You know better than that.

Retail prices only go in one direction.

They trusted him because they've only ever had lying city slickers to choose from.

Many of whom openly mock rural voters as stupid. (Hilary)

Before this time next year, they'll have deals for those soybeans.

Most will be used domestically for livestock feed. At a fraction of what China used to pay.

I feel bad for hard working farmers that got conned.

Why did they trust that lying city slicker?
