Went on a tour of the attic at Knole House in Kent. It's a bit bigger than my attic.

An attic space with ornate plaster ceiling. The floor is thought to be wonky because originally there was a bell tower above it, which deformed the building. An attic space with furniture along the right hand wall. There is a small set of steps on the left which give access to the roof. Graffiti which reads "New trap xmas 1950" (as in a new trap door to the roof), and "Snow fell Feb 69". Some ritual protection marks on the floor joists. They were supposed to trap bad spirits.

Went to the RSPB sound mirrors open day today. Lots of concrete.

Finished my #KitOff4Victory build ready for We Have Ways Fest.

My first attempt at a diorama rather than just a vehicle on its own.

It's based on photos I found on the IWM website of Cromwells in Hamburg in May 1945 (www.iwm.org.uk/collections/...)

Rochester Cathedral raising the bar for exhibitions in Cathedrals: A restored Shorts Scion floatplane in the nave. It was built in Rochester, and there's an exhibition about Shorts Brothers in the crypt (along with a café).

The M20. This section, which runs across the top of Maidstone, opened in 1960. The final section to Folkestone opened in 1991, to connect up with the channel tunnel. #photography #walking
The M20 motorway. Quiet because it's a Sunday. Well, quiet in terms of traffic. It's shockingly noisy when you've just walked out of a pleasant field to cross over it.

The new bridge started life as a bailey bridge, built to take traffic off the old bridge. Each bridge was one way. The bailey bridge was replaced with a two way permanent bridge. #photography #walking
