Agreed - we had an AMSTRAD CPC 464, Master System then SNES. Most others had Amigas. I think I knew one person with a NES

CPC 464 needs more love! I reckon I racked up 1000 hours playing Graham Gooch’s Test Match Cricket alone as an obsessed 7 year old.
