My 12th grade American History teacher was amazing. You could *always* get credit if you made a good argument why you were right. He also sometimes gave out wrong answers on purpose while we graded each other’s quizzes. We got very good at catching those.

I was marked wrong in 5th or 6th grade for misspelling “comet”. I spelled it “meteor”, because the picture had a fiery tail so was clearly a meteor. But that’s not what the answer key said.

Sure. If you’re raising the temp from, say, 8 to 33 C, that’s only about half the Carnot efficiency. Not unheard of for actual devices.
