buddy, as a small business person, I am not going to be able to handle the amount of tariffs needed for this ratio to improve.

Well put. Peter Abraham got mad on here earlier this week that Sox fans were being doom and gloom and it's not that we expect them to act like the Dodgers, but I do at least expect them to be on a par with the Phillies.

The biggest problem with the drone prison story is that if they'd used a catapult instead, we all could have enjoyed using the term crabapult

wait, this was co-written by Jack Donaghy's girlfriend with avian bone syndrome? Or is that a different Emily Mortimer?

100% but they used to try to win through financial muscle (and did!) vs. pretending to be a mid-market team, just a smol bean that can't afford super stars. It's the disingenuousness that I object to. I feel as though they only value the team heritage as a means to $$$ now, a more cynical operation.

Bluesky should at least let you moderate a #heist feed on here.

I respect that you are a million times more plugged in but the well reported stuff from you and your peers about long time, low cost employees getting canned and McKinsey types being the primary type of people running the org give me little reason to assume their goals align with mine as a fan.

Breslow has been open that he doesn't value much about the Red Sox other than financial flexibility and profits. It's on him to earn some trust from the fans that he wants to build a winning team vs. optimizing his employers assets.

Palantir banner is gross stuff as well.

Fuck yeah, can't wait for the new Boston Connect jersey to come out with Payroll Flexibility printed on the back next spring! Sure, you can buy a jersey with a name of player like Devers on it but only Payroll Flexibility will be here long term.

Hopefully they can get the Palantir logo onto it.

Edit- hadn't seen since like 1985

The problem of course is 'Watership Down'. That movie was so much darker and bloodier that in comparison (at least to my recollection), NIMH was a fun adventure. Like an Overton window, but for 70s cartoons.

Dead on with your assessment of Secret of NIMH. Back in the day, we had DVD player in the car for long trips, for the kids. We bought lots of used DVDs and picked up NIMH one time, a movie I had fond memories of but hadn't seen. About 40 min in, my older kid says 'we shouldn't be watching this.'

That's definitely the dog that comes out for a 'Dog Celebration' when you do a good job at Lumen.
