Aces are too good. Too many options for scoring.

who pays the hospital less? who is this “they” that they keep talking about?

Mike Johnson: "If you're a young, pregnant American citizen women who shows up in an ER and you get treated and they pay the hospital less for treating you than some illegal rabble rouser who came in from some South American country to do us harm, that is wrong."

They can’t just pick a starting time now, so like, y’know, people can plan their lives?

Let’s go Mercury! Time for a big game from Kah and AT

Nevermind, start the presses back up.
johno5.bsky.social
Why is it less loud and energetic now, in your opinion? Because of the lights? The scoreboards? New louder sound system? More fans closer to the field? More people on rooftops? Taller buildings in the neighborhood?

Major League Baseball relies on immigrants from Caribbean, Central, and S. America for a very large percentage of their economic success. The postseason would be a great opportunity for MLB and MSM to honor the benefits of immigrants to US culture and economy.

Calls by the umpire aren’t dependent on tendencies of the player involved. C’mon.

For a checked swing, the base umpire should have clear visible evidence to overturn his colleague’s call at homeplate. The base umpire either overturns his colleague, or he doesn’t. He does this based on what he sees

The Cubs have more walks than strikeouts!

STOP THE PRESSES!
johno5.bsky.social
Nah, just thinking ahead to when to start my baseball off-season BritBox subscription.
johno5.bsky.social
It is a whole lot of strikeouts.

As a baseball fan, it’s very dull to watch players strike out 1 or 2 times an inning.
johno5.bsky.social
The Cubs have responded with 58 strikeouts in only 5 games (43 innings up to bat)

45% of their outs are via strikeout.

I found a great job on LinkedIn. I made some good friends on WeChat. I discovered many meaningful artists, writers, and poets on Twitter. I’ve sharpened my ideological beliefs by reading Twitter and Bluesky posts and attached external links.

Who is Adam Scott?

Now that the Yankees game is not interesting, can they please switch us back to see the Mariners-Tigers?
johno5.bsky.social
Shockingly scary stuff

There was just a commercial during the Yankees-Blue Jays game for a company making survival food, like 3-, 6-, or 12-month supplies of freeze dried family meals. The ad began with a white man with a flannel dirt and a long beard saying “we all know food shortages and lack of food supply are coming…”

I’m stuck watching the Yankees v. Blue Jays because the Mariners v. Tigers switched to FS2 mid- inning. I’ve never heard of FS2, and can’t find it. The games are not on FOX as MLB said they would be, which pisses me off because I subscribed to Sling specifically to get access to FOX
