Why is it less loud and energetic now, in your opinion? Because of the lights? The scoreboards? New louder sound system? More fans closer to the field? More people on rooftops? Taller buildings in the neighborhood?

Major League Baseball relies on immigrants from Caribbean, Central, and S. America for a very large percentage of their economic success. The postseason would be a great opportunity for MLB and MSM to honor the benefits of immigrants to US culture and economy.

Calls by the umpire aren’t dependent on tendencies of the player involved. C’mon.

For a checked swing, the base umpire should have clear visible evidence to overturn his colleague’s call at homeplate. The base umpire either overturns his colleague, or he doesn’t. He does this based on what he sees

As a baseball fan, it’s very dull to watch players strike out 1 or 2 times an inning.
