On Midsummer's Day, or more precisely at the Summer Solstice, the sun is at its highest point of the year at midday and observed to rise at its most Easterly point of the year at dawn, which aligns with certain of the stones of Stonehenge.

That's not right either as the sun is due south at some time every day in the Northern hemisphere. It rises somewhere in the east and moves southwards through the sky and finally sets somewhere in the west.

I'm sure the sun is lower at other times, like after sunset
