It’s often observed that lefties give the right too much of the benefit of the doubt because we are basically open sincere people and assume others are.
The flipside is true also. Righties have a seemingly disproportionate distrust of us, because lying to get you want is part of their nature.

i’ve made it through 2/3 of their convo and not once do they mention that ALL of red state America has their TV tuned to Fox News all day.
Seems like a big factor to me!
