Next time a Reform representative is on question time they should be asked to comment on this footage.

Absolutely spot on. Hilarious. Puts to shame the press’s response to the issue.

I think we used call this critical thinking.

That is a great point. My mum died from MDD and I don’t know how to deal with how angry I am. I hope they say no. I will pay £2k if they refuse his money.

Good on your old man. I’m 74 and blokes my age seem to be suffering from social amnesia. It’s absolutely frightening.

Don’t be daft

One only hopes that Goodwin will suffer the fate of all charlatans. A bizarre character who seems to have no basic understanding of data.

I’m convinced that the 1945 landslide for enabling policies was because both in the forces and in the home culture there was a massive increase in mixing of people from different backgrounds. Stereotypes challenged.

Ok. Source? Are house prices measured in real or nominal value? What does the data imply? Jesus this is basic stuff.
May 10, 2025 at 4:47 PM
Oh dear. So many limitations on this analysis it beggars belief. Takes me back to being a first year student and being asked what is wrong with this data as a guide to policy. Please Greens get serious.

Nope

The solution to high rents is to address the cause not the consequence. High rents are due to lack of supply. I remember back in the 1970s paying “key money” for a rent controlled flat. Not sure the transfer you hope for would go in the right direction.

Thank you! The reporting on this issue has been awful.

I wish I had something like this when I was in school. English exercises: here is a paragraph. What is grammatically incorrect? 😂
April 24, 2025 at 12:26 PM
What I take from all these posts is a delight in this platform. Reasonable points but no abuse(unless I missed them).
What fury and abuse would happen on the other place😂
April 24, 2025 at 12:06 PM
I agree. Trump is doing untold damage to US citizens and businesses. Retaliation means let’s impose taxes on ourselves. Bizarre.
April 9, 2025 at 11:52 AM
Marx, Keynes, Kalecki, Robinson, etc etc. You seem to think that a subset of views constitutes a discipline. You could do the same in any area of study. Unserious.
April 8, 2025 at 8:59 AM
Oh dear I have to move on. You cherry pick so not serious.
April 8, 2025 at 4:07 AM
Oh dear I think you have Dunning Kruger syndrome. I really wonder how much Economics you have read Of course your defence of the superiority of accounting foundational concepts is notable by its absence. Keep reading chum. 😂
April 7, 2025 at 1:30 PM
Dan has a series on BBC arguing that accountants play the tax game. Check it out 😂
April 7, 2025 at 12:40 PM
Richard has been at the forefront of pointing out the inadequacies of accounting basics and analysis.
What pray are the firm footings?
Historical costs? Bizarre depreciation of fixed assets. Arbitrary periodisation of reporting.
Richard is a political economist.

If you want a prediction. Trump’s tariffs will generate a recession in the United States.
April 7, 2025 at 11:07 AM
Oh dear. I think you need to adjust your view on the role of economics. Would you blame/ignore the doctor who was caring for a dying relative.
As to accountancy it is an industry that exists to reduce tax liability. The analytical base of it are laughable.
April 7, 2025 at 11:06 AM
Oh dear oh dear. Most academic economists steer well clear of the prediction game. Do you blame meteorologists for not predicting the weather correctly?
