True. And it's also true that when publishers make money from stuff like that, it allows them more funds to take risky bets on lesser known authors. It's not like they have a fixed amount of $ to spend. If they make more on "drivel" they have more.

And with pieces small enough you don't need a knife. (Exceptions made for iconic salads like wedge & original Caesar).
