My understanding is gentrification happened in fits and starts throughout the eighties, but didn't really transform the neighborhood completely until the early nineties. The area around 42 St in particular was still quite notorious, at least according to the crime fiction of the period I've read.

I've always wanted to try going to TIFF. Do you order a festival pass, or just buy tickets to the individual shows you're interested in? I've seen advice for both ways online.

Am I missing something, or can anyone who's a former smoker just get the vaccine for free? How exactly does the gov't plan to check that?
