Seems like psychology needs more of this. Go Jess.
Amidst all the badness, still super excited to present a ticketed workshop with @clearlab.bsky.social and Jackie Ross on the menstrual cycle at #ABCT2025 @abctnow.bsky.social this fall in New Orleans!

(Decisions on talks/posters still to come.)

NIH has released new terms and conditions for any newly awarded grants where recipients have to certify that they do not have any DEIA programs, and that they do not participate in boycotts of Israeli. Violations of the terms can result in cancelled grants and payback reqs. 1/

These studies will probably get cut too when findings support that:

1) a very small minority of people detransition
2) of those that do detransition, the majority do it for their safety or financial reasons
3) many "detransitioners" REtransition at some point

trans people aren't going anywhere🤷

Either the decaf coffee at #CPA2025 is lying, or I'm very excited about something but I don't know what it is.

25 has long been my favorite number. There's a little drop of satisfaction every time I write today's date and I just realized I'm going to get this 10 more times this year!

Got my first offer yesterday after 3 years of working for it and 30 PhD applications. It also came 30 minutes into a full-day interview at one of my top choices. I was just pacing around my house crying with relief during the interview breaks 😅🥲.

Although it's nerve-racking while waiting for admission decisions, it's quite a time to be alive. At any moment, I could get an email or call that is a true crossroads in this life, whole new chapter and direction. It's wild how much can fit into one short life.

We're in the process of formalizing an intake/application system for volunteer research assistants (usually undergrad, but sometimes high school) at the Boness Addiction Lab. Any labs members out there willing to share their process for this for us to see an example? Thank you.
