I suppose I'd say about this: parties are always going to disappoint. But holding onto the tools and means of your activism is always valuable. How you square that circle is an ongoing project, but it doesn't have to be a true faith vs. no faith thing.

The idea that there’s some sort of profound philosophical or spiritual difference between someone who was born in 1970, 1980, 1990, or 2000 is INSANE. It’s nuts. But everyone just goes “yeah I’m generation glorp and I def think my spiritual path was set by my particular breakfast cereal jingles.”

Also Anita Sarkeesian is a reliably good read on this.

I suppose it's quite damning that the work on this has all been done by the highest profile victims of it.

You will probably also stumble across the name Brianna Wu, who was very much victimised by it, and has had lots of interesting stuff to say, but she does appear to have become a bit of a loon in recent years, so bear that in mind.

If you want to follow some strands yourself, Zoe Quinn was right at the centre of it, and remains a worthwhile voice on the matter, and I know her book 'Crash Override' is well-regarded by sane people.

I suppose I'd say that since its roots lie in the harrassment of women online, and often queer women, a lot of the better writing online about it is from an adult feminist and often queer perspective, so it might not be that easily accessible for a young teenager.

Hmm. That's a really good question. I don't think it quite exists, for that audience, and it would be good if it did. If someone knows different, I'd be glad to know about it.

He should try selling it in those tins that are like a flat circle.
