Chaotic #ttrpg idea:

1) Everyone brings their chosen rulebook and character sheet to the table. Can be from any ttrpg.

2) GM describes some kind of meta/crossover event where everyone is thrust into yet another world with yet another set of rules that the GM is using.

The other would be a more abstract game where you act as some kind of AI or controller, planning and executing missions with various moving parts in deep space. Dreaming of the day when you could maybe make it all safe enough to actually send a human.

I'm not entirely sure how you would turn it into a ttrpg:

One option would be to build out one of these two world style things. With the players bouncing between solving high-end space problems, but also needing to find something to eat.

- Generation ships built by the lowest bidder were lifeless before they even left the solar system.
- Our drones found life wherever there was oxygen. But nothing intelligent... yet.

Been pondering a dystopian sci-fi setting this morning:
The basics:
- Humanity never quite left earth, but our drones have been to other stars
- The Earth is a burnt-out ruin, still divided, war-torn and bleak
-Self-replicating factories on mars are engaged in a multi-century terraforming bid.

I’ve actually made a 5e hack so you can play pbta games with a d20.

It also get rid of those messy mixed successes cause no-one likes them.
