In Silver City NM, the pinyon jays have returned and the hummingbirds have departed.

This morning I saw the buck and a doe grazing right outside my back window. Later a roadrunner passed by me with a lizard in its beak. I was sitting outside in the evening when a javelina (similar to a wild pig) trotted by across my back yard. I chuckled to myself for my good fortune!

I was inspired yesterday by your post on Substack to send messages to my Representative in the House and my two Senators. I am establishing my residence in a new state here. All three of them and the Governor are Democrats. I will be interested in what they have to say. I will be watching them.
