Here's the UK electricity generation over the last 24hrs, from grid.iamkate.com You can see gas ramping up last night as solar fell to nothing but wind didn't peak till this morning. Would be ugly without the nuclear baseload, plus the 4GW from French nuclear not shown on this graph.
