How is it that so many people complain about "political correctness" when policing speech has always been a standard in human communication?

We are very likely more permissive of speech than at any other point in human history, when considering the percentage of speech that is vs isn't taboo.

Keep in mind that anger, dismissiveness and frustration are all trademarks of the terminally online. Don't define people that disagree with you based on replies in an online forum.

More often than not they're angry about so much more than your opinion, but they can only vent in online comments.

Perhaps one of the crucial rules of AI that needs to be implemented as it expands is that AI must always identify itself as AI.

A lot more damage can be done through social engineering than through an agressive robot.

Poilievre was sent out to buy ice cream and everyone at the party said they wanted strawberry.

But after he gets through check out with 3 litres of strawberry ice cream, everyone got sick of the obnoxious neighbor ranting about how great strawberry ice cream is and decided they want chocolate.
