Chag Sukkot Sameach!

Make your own tiny sukkah: dayenu.org/sukkot

The sukkah reminds us of climate refugees & those with unstable living conditions. In this political moment, we can help climate migrants by resisting authoritarianism and working towards a just, livable future. ✊🍋

As Governor Newsom backtracks on his climate promises,
California’s communities will continue to pay the price for reckless, dirty and dangerous fossil fuel operations.

Our thoughts are with everyone impacted.

As we celebrate Sukkot in temporary dwellings, we hold in our hearts those displaced by climate disasters and unstable living conditions. In this moment of crisis, we must resist authoritarianism and work together for climate justice 🌍

"When I’m engaging in climate activism, that’s an expression of my Jewish spirituality. So finding Dayenu was a way to give a name to that."

Local victory!

In Greenfield, MA, Dayenu leader Emily Koester successfully introduced a resolution supporting the #MakePollutersPay law in Massachusetts.

Emily shared with us how she made it happen and how Jewish values guide her climate activism.

Our tax dollars ripped away from cheap, clean energy solutions (solar, wind), and thrown at the dirtiest of all fossil fuels.

We're paying for pollution, climate catastrophe, premature deaths -- but nice yachts for fossil fuel execs!

Shabbat Shalom! ✨
This season reminds us that te shuva — turning — is not only personal, but collective. From Sun Day events across the nation to gatherings amidst these high holidays, we see that, together, we can turn toward justice, renewal, and hope.

"Repealing the [Endangerment] Finding is like tossing out the Ten Commandments. [EPA Administrator Zeldin] is denying something that's fundamentally true ab the world, and eliminating what enables our government to act in alignment w our core values."

Sun Day in NYC! 🌝

We were delighted that the wonderful @billmckibben.bsky.social dropped by our table and spent some time.

And we were pretty thrilled to learn that he finds hope in Dayenu! 🎉

Shana tova! to a new year full of light and hope for the future.

🍎🍯 Shana Tova!
As we welcome the High Holidays, Rosh Hashanah invites us to pause, reflect, and envision the future we want to create.

Wish you and your loved ones a sweet, meaningful, and just new year as we enter 5786.

An illustrated Rosh Hashanah greeting card with a honeycomb border. At the center, there’s a jar of honey dripping down the sides, surrounded by bees and small flowers. Next to it is a pomegranate filled with seeds. The jar reads: “For a just and sweet new year.” Above the jar, in Hebrew, it says “Shana Tova,” and below in English it says “Shana Tova!” At the bottom of the card is the logo for Dayenu, with the organization’s name written in Hebrew and English.
