I think the main reason he connected Phosphorus to the crimes and had an identity for Phosphorus to convict was because Thorne made sure to get Phosphorus' prints all over the murder weapon that killed his family. See pics and I got one more post showing the pic of Phosphorus' criminal activity. 1/2
