Memory awoken of my then ten year old who had decided to take GCSE English. When a practice question asked 'analyse the emotions of the nurse in Romeo and Juliet', he said, "I just don't care". He dropped English literature but he got his degree aged 15.

Legally, parents are ALWAYS responsible for the education of a child of compulsory school age. Education is compulsory, not school.

Parents can choose the method of education as long as they meet the Education Act 1996 requirements. For full guidance, see our FB group.

That's the problem with the indoctrination by state, it's parents that are responsible for education. Children are abused or unaliving themselves due to schools. The state control the media- Sara wasn't home educated she was waiting for a school place in the summer holidays.
My hot, potentially unpopular take: there shouldn't be an automatic right to home-school children: in fact, the default position should be "no", unless the parents can demonstrate they have the ability to provide the education children need and have a right to. Rights of child > rights of parents.
