CH 30:

An exciting chapter with lots of confrontations. Meryl recruits Dr. Roberts to help fix her fingers. Lulu corners Laem with Bags' Groove. Charmingman is suddenly shot! Jodio and Dragona make moves to steal back the Lava Rock as Howler watches on in horror. Will Howler bare his fangs soon?

The JoJolands Chapter 30: West End Girl part 1.

I can't believe how exciting each chapter has been lately. The Mega Yacht arc has really felt like a Final arc reserved for confrontations with main villains.

Firstly, I love that The Matte Kudusai can re arrange itself into a fake room. I love this new Dr. Roberts guy who can sew Meryl's fingers back. We get a little light hearted moment as they ask him to fix Meryl and Paco's fingers.

However, underneath the boutique, Lulu is fighting for her life against Laem. She manages to not get fatally shot (although appears to be knicked by several bullets) She is able to outlast Laem as she takes her final breaths and not able to reload one last time. Now, only Key West remains as Howler's last retainer.

Back on the Mega Yacht, we receive more information about how Charmingman's skin works. He attempts to fight off the enemy controlled soldier, but is shot in the side. as he collapses, West End Girl (Key West's stand) begins to abscond with the Lava Rock. Dragona rationally starts to advise that they back off. But Jodio believes in the power of the Lava Rock. That if he can just grasp it, it will make everything right again. Because the Rock is crumbling, we aren't for sure if that will be the case. So Jodio convinces Dragona not to run. Whether he is just headstrong or has enough faith to see the deal through, he marchs after West End girl after peppering her with rain bullets. Key West has a moment where she believes she has gotten away, but now, stands with holes in her face, cornered.

Meanwhile. Howler stands, unsure of his next move. There are clearly several stand users on his boat. I'm hoping he takes action. If I were Howler, this is the moment where I would reveal my stand and take control. I did find it a bit odd that he just stood there. Any momentary respect he may have commanded by waving his gun around earlier has completely evaporated. With no one to back him, he's completely alone.

Some other things I noticed about the playing cards: Joseph is a King and Caesar is a Jack but Johnny is a Jack and Gyro a King.

Also Giorno is the King of Hearts, he'd do Domon Kasshu proud!

Just thought it would be interesting to note that Dragona's playing card from JoJo World official merch is the Queen of Clubs (Her brother is the Ace of Clubs) and all other Queen cards are female JoJo characters!
