I give him 3 years, tops. I realize the Steelers rarely replace coaches, but yeah.. 3 years.. tops.

If the players from the NBA, NFL and other pro sports leagues REFUSED to play- the corporate sponsors/Networks/ Etc (especially with the Superbowl around the corner) it would cause the largest pushback. The pressure to fix it and get them back before the superbowl would break the government hold.

protect it from happening. People are worried about money/food/job- which gives them health insurance. Enough to scare them because let's be honest- a large majority of this country only gives a damn about themselves and their family & won't risk a loss for others.

The only one that really working is Target for good reason. Their demographics was Largely POC and that demographic knows the hardships/ realities/end result and will hold out for good. Labor stoppages/consumer boycotts work, but enough people here won't do it. They made our system in a way to

Consumers have control, but refuse to use it because they are addicted to their things. Impulse control is getting worse-they need instance gratification. Boycott days: They do 3 days of no shopping- but majority of people stock up before or buy everything right after. So it doesn't hurt the corp.

Realist, I work in Marketing. I understand Consumer behavior/Marketing dynamics/psychology of it. People are "conditioned" to watch the SB, the ADS, the performance, something to talk about at work the next day/wanting to fit in. People will claim to not watch, but find a reason/excuse to watch

We'll see but Robert Kraft and him have reignited their friendship. I can't imagine him not showing up.

We can't even get the majority of people to stop using Amazon for a day, do you really think they won't watch the SB if it's on. Many people watch- just for the ADS, performers, and then the game or party. That's the point, it's such a draw that not having it on would force a change.

I believe Fox makes about 800M in Ads from the Superbowl alone. I can't imagine them not doing something to save that cash, plus all the corporations in this ads- losing all the money they spend in the ADS.. That is the entire marketing budget for some.

The entire NBA should have refused to play. The problem is that MN is holding the line for the entire country. (Its not the first time) They deserve more support, but they picked them on Purpose.
January 25, 2026 at 4:37 AM
That's why I said players. If they ALL did it. Owners wouldn't have a choice. No one is watching a Superbowl of "scabs"

Baseball refused to show up, nascar, etc. The Economic collapse that it could cause would scare the fuck out of Corporations and force them to do something. This shit would end FAST.

I believe you can opt to just use the coupon vs medicare/medicaid- Ask them to put it through as "CASH" vs medicare or Medicaid. You just can't use it "together". (not that I agree with any of it)
