🔴 In memory of Jan Gorski Mescir (Fydsy), who passed away this week, we’re re-releasing all 12 episodes of his brilliant 'Jumpers For Goalposts' series.

They’ll drop ad-free on the main Anfield Index & Pro feeds daily at 7am starting tomorrow.

If you’ve never heard it—don’t miss it. 🙏🏻

Can Federico Chiesa be the new Ronnie Rosenthal?

Newcastle fans are not like other fans who ‘support’ their team by putting other teams down, and trying to ridicule other support bases. They support their side, and enjoy their football team - win or lose.
Today they win. Well played. Enjoy your success.

This is not criticism just an observation. I’ve seen us lose plenty of English finals over the decades. Forest. City. United. Arsenal. Wimbledon. With perhaps the exception of the latter game that was probably the worst performance in a final from a Reds team I’ve seen. Think they’re knackered.

Well done to Newcastle United. Enjoy your celebrations.

Congratulations to PSG. They worked hard and are a good team. We tried and it didn’t work for us this time. PSG also had a bribed referee in their pocket to allow them approximately 200 decisions which made it extra difficult for us. In the end their wealth, corruption and privilege won the tie.

Long way to go. Each game as it comes. Ninety minutes. Season just beginning. Keep working hard.

What is damaging to football is the collusion of referees, and television channels, under the auspices of its governing bodies, to instigate contrived drama in attempts to rehash old battles, provoke old antagonisms to ensure its brand.

Conor Bradley how good he will become? Looks a Liverpool player for us to cherish.

Dominic Szoboszlai was magnificent. Ran the show. Souness in Superman’s clobber, Stevie G’s prowess, Big Jan’s poise, with Jamie Redknapp’s pose.

Is Josh Inglis the new Steve Smith?

There is something of the willowy whispish Ian Rush about Alexander Isak.

Without Darwin Núñez there is no football

It’s in our muscle memory to equalise and score versus Fulham. Notwithstanding getting knackered I expect we’ll get one at least. Will be fascinating to see Arne Slot work within a scenario with which he has yet to be tested. Plenty of the season still remains to be played out - whatever the result

Morning Reds. after the 3-3 defeat before. Hindsight can view results like this as a vital point.
That said, we conceded at the end which league winners do - only minimally.
The defence is one injury away from being makeshift. The team will have to work their red socks off over the festive season

The Gerd Müller finish from Mo Salah was highly enjoyable.

Thought the referee performed (and I stress the word ‘performed’) like a crony who’d made a promise to their fellow cronies.

Curtis Jones reminiscent of Terry McDermott.

I think we are going to require a central striker who offers perhaps a little bit more consistent quality in their finesse and finishing. Isak impressed.

Quansah is actually very good at the attacking part, but he has not yet grasped the position aspect of the role - as a result our distribution from defence to midfield has been inadequate and their midfield has picked us off. Arne Slot will be aware of this and make necessary tactical adjustments.

Always enjoyable defeating royal madrid. Caoimhin Kelleher’ll probably go to Spurs next season and get a rapturous welcome back from the Kop followed by a 3 goal title winning defeat(high praise).
Conor Bradley is outstanding and was always gonna show his skills once he got into his playing rhythm.

Reminds me of the arl Paisley, Fagan, Moran era high scoring dingdongs versus Saints at the Dell back in the day.
Long way to go. A game at a time. Onto the next 90 etc…
